Two of my daughters friends went Pi Beta Phi and Zeta at UNT. I'm so excited for them! No need to add to the list.

So, I'm pretty disappointed with what happened with my two ladies on my rec. crew. My first one (University of Alabama) had two chapters that preffed her but, her parents said they would not help her pay if she chose to join "those" chapters . My second girl (Florida State University) got released from my GLO but, was able to pref three other sororities. She was a legacy to two NPCs on that campus. After pref, she decided to only list two of the three chapters she preffed and she was completely released from recruitment. She felt as though she couldn't see herself in the "other" house .

This all really bums me out. Both women had sophmore standing (which could have hurt them during recruitment) but, they were unable to see how lucky they were when they were given the chance to affiliate with some of these sororities. Now, at both Bama and FSU, they may not have the same opportunity twice. |

And you got no one to blame but yourself

Jill, I agree. When are young ladies going to realize they must maximize their options (especially if they have age, grades, etc.) going against them at COMPETITIVE schools? I am so bummed by that news. |

I am so bummed by that news. | I sure will. Her mom knew nothing about sororities so I coached her about keeping an open mind, etc. She had a great time and coasted through recruitment right into the arms of her new sisters.
