Well, I am not blown away by the design, but I don't mind it either. I will def purchase something in the print.
I can see the pansy, although you are correct that it doesn't look exactly like a pansy. However, it doesn't bother me.
As for the blue, I am envisioning that it is the sky that our kites are soaring against. If I look at it that way, I am not offended that a random color was added. Black and gold/yellow was going to be a stretch anyway... we knew that going in!
All in all I am okay with it, and look forward to seeing what I can put on my birthday/Christmas list this year.
