You just said "slip up by a few hours" which means that it does matter what time it is taken. If you took it a noon one day and then at say 11 p.m. the next day, that is more then a "few hours." I say this because a friend of mine never once skipped a day but she always took it at different times, and well, you know what? She's now almost seven months pregnant.
