^Yes, it is! People never seem to get that reference. Melinda Warren was the "original" Halliwell and the one who had the the "Charmed Ones" prophecy.

PNMs - PLEASE consider letting your alumnae panhellenics/rec writers know where you end up pledging!

I guess you wouldn't need to if your letters were from an alum group, but it might be really nice especially if a friend of the family or a teacher wrote a letter for you. A note to the alum group of the chapter where you pledged would be nice, too. I sent a note to my hometown alum group, and they would invite me to collumnae events when I went home for Christmas. They also sent me a pin pillow.

ESPECIALLY if you get recs from an alumnae group I would send a note/e-mail/smoke signal. In the case of our alumnae panhellenic we compile all the results for our girls. PLEASE ladies - let those rec writers know!

I'm planning on going through recruitment this fall at UMass Amherst, which I understand isn't hugely competitive.

I have added the University of Alabama to my Rec Crew. The girl got her info to me the day before recs had to be postmarked, but we made it! I was also contacted a few days ago by another UGA-bound girl and am doing her rec this week. So -- my crew is:
 4 at UGA
 1 at Ole Miss
 1 at Alabama
1 at Georgia State College and University. Their recruitment is coming up quickly; it begins August 6th.

All have promised to let me know the outcome of their adventure. I also know quite a few young men who will be taking part in fraternity recruitment as freshmen. Some have been attending summer parties and two have already received bids from fraternities at UGA -- one to Sig Ep and one to Sigma Nu. It's so exciting to see where everyone finds their home!

I am rushing this fall! In a few short weeks, I will be going through one the best experiences of my life. Also, just wanted to let you all know how helpful GC is! I have read through countless threads and reading through other girls recruitment stories have eased my nerves...a little. |
