I'm wondering how it is physically possible for us to take a pledge class any bigger than we did last year. Are there any other universities struggling with similar numbers? We have a guaranteed bid system as long as you make it pref and maximize your options. Rush has already expanded to 7 days of rounds (2 for each except pref) spread out over two weeks. I just can't wrap my head around a potential quota of 130-150 :/
What is the % of PNM's who withdrawal, dropped or because they didn't maximize end up bidless?

It seems hard to imagine that an NPC would consider coming to campus as a failure. Just doing simple math, if each chapter took 100, that is only 800 women, that leaves over 400 women who didn't join a house, that is a huge number. If it was only 100 I can understand an NPC's concern.

Is a chapter required to have a house? If so, is there land or houses available for a new NPC anyways?

A chapter is not going to be competitive (meaning they will not make quota) on that kind of campus without a house. That is a big hang up with any group considering expansion. Even if you had three chapters without houses ----

It is always hard to find available suitable land. It needs to be close to where the other houses are and big enough to build a comparable house to be competitive.

Arkansas folks - I thought someone said there were empty fraternity houses or spots that would be acceptable?

Also, at ANY competitive campus - for a new chapter to succeed, it must have many women (as in, 2/3 or so) who choose to join it EVEN IF THEY COULD JOIN ANY OTHER GROUP ON CAMPUS. It can't be all the "leftovers" who got cut. That's why most colonizations at schools like this are publicized far in advance.
