Another weird school-related dream last night. I was about 27 and had gone back to my alma mater as a doctoral candidate. I couldn't qualify for married student housing, even though I was married, as my husband's job required him to live somewhere else long-term, so I was in a mixed undergrad/grad dorm. I had a kick-ass room with a kick-ass view... problem is that it was on the 8th floor in a walk-up
. The dorm was set up in suites (as my undergrad dorm was) and all grad students got huge singles while all undergrads got doubles or worse.
I also had a welcome basket waiting for me when I checked in. Microwave popcorn, microwave pizza, candy, and a welcome note that read "Congratulations, Doctor aephi alum" even though, in the dream, I had JUST enrolled, and in reality I have no desire to go for a doctorate.
God works in mysterious ways. So does my brain.
