i wholeheartedly agree with you AOII_Angel. celebrating any person's death under any circumstances is crass. while patriotism is a wonderful thing, lets also not forget the other side of the story. yes, september 11 was a terrible tragedy and my heart goes but to the thousands of people affected by it, but it pales in comparison to past us involvement in situations abroad that have violated human rights and have taken the lives of countless numbers of people. an eye for an eye is not the way to show superiority, but rather just sinks us morally. while im glad that the world as a whole is a safer place with one less extremist running around spewing hateful propaganda, it should not mean that we take it upon ourselves to celebrate how "blessed" we are as a nation by god and exclude the billions of other people that happen to share our planet.
