grrrrr, I really want to go but have neither the time nor the money. But I want to share a funny story...
I went to the 1998 convention as VPO, and my boyfriend at the time (a Phi Tau!) said "Wow, you're taking a lot of shoes." I think I had about 8 pairs. Well, I needed them to coordinate with my outfits!
The first night of convention, we had little province get-togethers and pictures. The PDA did an icebreaker by having everyone stand, and then sit down according to the number of pairs of shoes they brought. I thought I was somewhat strange for bringing 8 pairs of shoes on a 4-day trip, and although I wasn't the last person to sit down, I wasn't the first either. The PDA...she brought 13 pairs!! So funny.
Have a great time! It's exhausting, but lots of fun.
