I would take the "only 40 girls can pledge each group" thing with a grain of salt. That's not how recruitment works, and VERY few campuses limit quota before the number of women remaining in recruitment before preference is actually known. With RFM, the goal is to place AS MANY PNMs as possible, so just go in to the parties looking for your best fit, not worrying that you won't be in the 120 that will actually make the cut.

The maximum number of bids thing is bullshit unless your school employs some sort of psycho cap. If 800 girls make it through to pref, quota is 800 divided by 3. Period.

Oh, and I don't know what school this is either.

I enjoyed reading about CranberryKisses' story until this turned into a game of trying to out her school. I sure hope that we have not heard from her because she is having a great time with her new sisters and not because she was driven away by those who find it more important to show how much they know versus enjoying the adventure.
