I wish I could tell you yes, you'll be fine, you'll get in, but I can't do that. Nobody knows how it's going to work out. I was in a similar position to you when I went through. I waited until sophomore year because I just wasn't ready as a freshman, but I did a bunch of other things that I think really helped me. There was one girl in particular who didn't like me in Kappa, and she was very, very vocal about it. However, if enough people see your good qualities, that one negative voice will probably not sink you -- it certainly wasn't an issue for me. The best advice I can give you at this point is to prepare yourself as much as possible and just
RELAX. Think of this as a chance to meet people and make new friends and not an epic-end-all-break-all-pressure situation (if you're super stressed, it'll show)! It's normal to be nervous, but you aren't doing yourself any good worrying about the end result. Control the things that are in your control, and try not to worry about the things that aren't.
