I was wondering if there would be a thread about this.
I've always liked The Beatles. It was pretty much my first memory of music as my parents are both big fans (the story goes that it was one of the first things they found out that they had in common!) It wasn't until the past two years or so that I really got into them. I'm pretty much a fanatic now (please note my "Location"
)
Obviously I wasn't alive for this...it would still be 3 years until my parents would even meet! My mom says she was devestated at the news--John was her favorite. The footage I have seen of memorials, etc., after his death make me so sad. It's amazing to see just how influential he was and how much he impacted (in a good way!) so many people. And what's even more amazing is how much he CONTINUES to influence people...people who were not even alive when he was.
