Hi!

I'm the N.M. Chairman at Kappa chapter in Hillsdale.

As part of the New Member program, we try to integrate the new members as quickly as possible. One of the ways we do this is to give them a small, closely-knit group of sisters who will teach them about Kappa and all of her ideals. This is the "Kore Group".

We encourage each member of the Kore to meet with the new member and do some sort of bonding activity (i.e. go out for coffee, or volunteer together). This helps form a strong bond in the Kore and teaches the new member the true meaning of sisterhood. It makes them feel as if they really are becoming a part of the chapter.

We also have scholarship games in Kores. Each week at AC we record how many A's you got, how many hours you studied with your Kore members, and thing likes that. It encourages Kores to work together.

Kore groups sit together at AC. We do philanthropies broken up in to Kores and we even use the Kore Groups for membership recruitment.

I have no idea what that sapphire system is.. hmm....

Good luck. Email me if you have any other questions.. I'd be happy to help
