No. Our alumnae chapters are like yours (city names).

You can't see them in that pic (well, they are in the bottom of that pic but you can't see them well enough to read them), but the alumnae chapter shields have the chapter name (ex: Cleveland Alumnae Chapter) and the year. They are also a different shape.

Kappa Delta Crest

Does anyone have images of Kappa Delta's two previous crests?

The original was quite different from our current crest, but the second version is closer. I want to say the original was in existence until at least 1904? I bought engraved images of both for my chapter suite when I was a collegiate, but cannot find a picture of either anywhere!

Wow. I learned something about my own CoA from this thread! (That Emily Helen Butterfield helped design our CoA).

Phi Beta's Coat of Arms:

(Higher res of Phi Beta CoA)

Note the difference between the gold & green laurel leaves. You will see our CoA with both. Until recently it was this design:

And our original CoA (from a bad scan from an old magazine) which is quite different.

(Link to high res)

The things I can tell you about the CoA are that our official flower is the American Beauty rose, which is pictured, and that the banner at the bottom is our motto in Greek "To Be Rather Than To Seem To Be".

Another official symbol that is fairly recent to us is our Allied Arts Design.

It's pretty obvious that it combines symbols of the arts we represent (nothing secret about this one!) music, art, dance, visual arts, etc. I've been told there's supposed to be a pen for writing under the dancer's feet, but I've never actually seen that. It's a popular jewelry piece for our members. (More bad photos!)

I have them. I'll try to scan them and post some time tonight.

I don't think this has been posted already. I was looking for something else on google books and came across this picture. It is from the Alpha Chi Omega history book.

sorry it is sideways, I wasn't sure how to move it when I pasted it from the book.
