My chapter has in general been pretty good about using the correct terms, but hearing "big/little" drove me crazy as an active.

I still call my sis-daughters (the ones that are still members) daughter and they call me mom...but I wouldn't say it's obsessive. Most "families" in the chapter make a pretty big deal of joining the family...I have two great-granddaughters (possibly a great-great, but I haven't heard yet) and two granddaughters and we take family pictures at events.
