I think everyone is making good points here. I would have to agree that making a potential new member feel welcome is a number one goal of the sorority, but more than likely these girls are being generally nice. I love to meet new girls that are potentials coming through and I am a generally nice person, but not to the fake point. I think most of us can tell when a person is being fake. And you will have this is Rush parties too. I have had these feelings about some of the girls that i met while rushing and you just have to find out where you are most comfortable. But overall taht movie goes way over lines that are not really true of Greek life!!!
I hope ths gives you more insight and makes you feel more comfortable with what you have seen.
