Awesome advice. I was halfway through drying my hair, but tried the butterfly clip trick halfway through and it worked some....so I'm guessing tomorrow when I do my hair (after getting 2 inches cut off as well), it will really work. I loved it and my fiance actually noticed it too!

That's the nice thing about your perm too, you can do it straight if you want to. I suggest if you want the straight look, use a large barrel curling iron...it helps to smooth. As a naturally curly gal.....forever, I can strangely straighten it as well, but it takes a little more effort.
