And yes, I have been fitted; three different places and they all gave me the same exact bra size (yay!). However, I usually have at least one of these problems:
- If the band tight enough to stay up, it's very constricting on my chest and affects my breathing (I have lung problems and my rib cage is a bit bigger).
- The cups are either too unstructured to feel "shaped" and the girls just kind of "rest" there, or too molded/thick under the dress and add bulk, making it just a smidgen too tight.
I have the exact same problems! So frustrating...

Hey everyone... well I ordered that dress from Dillards
here's the link again-
http://www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/s...null/affiliate

Tried it on, it fits well.. I like it. The top part is not as light as it looks in the picture, so it doesn't wash me out at all, which was what others as well as myself were questioning. It actually makes me eyes look really bright Glad I decided on this one vs the one in the original post - when I tried it on it felt and looked way more "pref night" than the other one did. Gotta find some shoes to wear with it and I'll be set. I would still appreciate any feedback regarding it - whether you like it, hate it, think it's also totally wrong, or just tips on shoes or anything since it's become a shopping/clothes madhouse frenzy in here!!

Thank you again, y'all have been sooo great and helpful!!

Because I have no personal experience with the school at which you are rushing, I can't say whether it is appropriate or not. I do think it is very cute; however, if it were my daughter wearing the dress, I would suggest adding a bit of color to it. Here in Texas we often do that with turquoise. Some prominent turquoise earrings and a turquoise bracelet might work. I would love to see a bit of blue and brown turquoise. Because the dress is limited to two colors, you will just have to try several accessory combinations and see what works best. What about gold shoes and gold accessories that have just a hint of pearl in them? Or tortoise and gold accessories. I think the dress has a great cut to it, but I think you may blend in if you don't jazz it up a bit.

Because of the neckline, wear your hair up if you can! Best of luck to you!

Oh, gosh. Just noticed the pearl detail near the neckline. I have seen dresses with these types of pearls mixed with accessories made of pearl and turquoise and gold. I think that would be great, especially at the ears. Just a pop of color coming out to accent your face with subtle gold shoes on your feet might be a good look. To be honest, this dress may be a challenge to accessorize, but if you start now and try different things, I think you can find something that makes you stand out in this dress. Turquoise may even look tacky (love that great Southern word), but you won't know until you try. In the end, what you want to do is accessorize to make you stand out, but you also want your accessories to be understated and tasteful.

Love the dress, Tacitum! Since it has the pearls at the neckline, I would stick to minimal jewelry in the form of pearls and gold. It's a very elegant dress so I wouldn't want to take anything from it.

Can you find some dark brown shoes to go with it? Maybe with a kitten heel? Whatever you wear on your feet make sure they're comfortable. You may be walking and standing for quite a while.

Best of luck to you!

If her jewelry is going to be her color "pop", this is good, however, her shoes could also be a color "pop".

Just some ideas of what *I* would pair with this dress. But, I'm bigger on shoes than jewelry. And, that's also given that the OP is comfortable in heels all night and has time to break them in.

PS...these are all from DSW.

I like #2 and #4. Especially #4. It's just that much "more" in the wow department, which you can do when your dress is a simpler palette. Plus, the heels are more manageable. Kitten heels are so comfortable. They give your booty just the right "pop" but doesn't strain the leg as much as say, 4-inch heels.

I do like the turquoise color with this dress. However, depending on your coloring, you could also go with accessories in the coral (color, not the actual reef!!!) family. You'll be at the end of summer, which is a great time to wear "sunset" colors.

Just a hint that if you are buying things in person, versus online, go to a paint or hardware store and get paint swatches. Hold them up to your skin see which shades (of any color) work best on you. Once you figure it out, carry the swatches with you when you hunt for accessories. Heck, it might be a good idea to do that in general, so that whenever you go shopping, you'll have "your" palette ready.

Someone suggested gold shoes, but I think that would only work if your goal was to create length (the gold in the dress comes up pretty high, and will already give a monotone look along with your legs). If that's the way you want to go, definitely go with a bold colored earring and bracelet.

(This is so much fun! Let's start a "Dress the PNMs" thread!!)

#2 or #4 for the shoes for sure. I really like #2 better personally, but I really love #4 with the dress

TexasMommy- Hi I am from Texas actually, so I know what you're saying - I love the idea of the turquoise. But am going out of state for school, and as you said was a possibility, I kinda get the feeling that it wouldn't be right where I'm going.

I picked up some precious gold bracelets today while I was out, will probably wear pearl earrings, and still undecided on my shoes. My mom is telling me to go with maybe a cream color or gold pumps (which was what I was thinking), but considering maybe going more vibrant.. hm. Also, someone commented on the time frame I have to figure it out... I don't have too terribly much time to play around with colors (wish I did!) as I leave relatively soon.

PS. a "dress the PNMs" thread is the best idea I've heard all day
