This is long, so get ready. . .

I got married Sept 29, 2001 (yes, air travel that month was interesting, to say the least. And yes, we did see the Pentagon. Spooky)

My advice is to have your nervous breakdown the day BEFORE the wedding. No, seriously. I'm not wishing a nervous breakdown on you, but get the whole anxiety attack, throwing up, nerves thing outta the way beforehand. Trust me, I speak from experience:
My finace and I had to do counseling sessions with the priest before the wedding (Episcopalian). The last one was the day before the wedding, where he went through the "Rehearsal" part with just us, explaining everything. Well, my mom was in town, we were picking up all the rental stuff and setting up that day (Lots of things to get done in so little time). Sooooo. . .on the way to the church, I just lost it!!! (Scared the finace half to death!!) Crying, hyperventilating, thinking the worst about all the arrangements, the whole thing. One hour later I was doing just fine, and everything about the wedding went WONDERFULLY without a hitch. And I was quite relaxed the day of the wedding (except for walking down the aisle. . .)

My sorority big sis got married the very next week. My maid of honor was also in her wedding, and she said the bride held all of her emotions in and kept herself very distracted until wedding day. THEN, she cried from the time she woke up until she made it to the reception hall. My maid of honor thinks things would have been better for her if she would have taken the time to focus on her emotions the day before (this was her observation).

NOW. . .I'm not saying I didn't cry when I first saw my groom, or feel nervous. I just allowed myself to lose control the day before so I wouldn't have to try to control it in front of 300 guests!!!! Just give yourself permission to lose it, it made me feel so much better.

And I'm sorry this is so long!!!!
