Uhhh...this thread is about Fantasia's education level and not that of others. And we already concluded that Fantasia had her GED prior to getting her honorary high school diploma.

As I said, a diploma or equivalent should be the minimum education level. That applies to anyone in this society--celeb or nonceleb.

Uhh, very rarely do threads stay on their intended topic.

Additionally, I don't care about her (or any other star's) education level. It is their business.

Uhh...was that your way of bringing up the other topic or just questioning why we didn't care to discuss other celebs right now?

Well, on that uncaring note, thanks for joining us in a thread about Fantasia's GED and honorary diploma.

My pleasure. I try to do what I can do when I can do it.

I didn't realize she had her GED before getting this honorary diploma. In that case, in Pennsylvania, you can do the same thing.

If you quit high school by a certain age/ grade-level (let's say 11th grade-but, please don't quote me on this) and you end up getting your GED, if you go to the h.s. you quit, for about $20 and proof of your GED, you can walk for graduation, be added to the Alumni newsletter/database, and even attend Alumni events. It's almost as if you didn't quit. The only thing that sucks about this is that the school can count that towards their high school graduate quota, even if the person really quit school and got a GED--meaning, their numbers for dropout rates decreasing looks better than they actually are.
