I would have to disagree with you. Sure, Platinum does scratch...but after years of buffing (which is what you're supposed to get done to platinum, because yes...it does scratch and any good jeweler will let you know that). But after buffing, it reaches it's beauty again. You won't ever buff away your ring either. I have a huge amount of platinum, and it looks amazing every day.
