FWIW, I've yet to see the woman who looks her best in an empire waist, even though they're oh, so in style. I wasn't very impressed with any of those dresses. If you're sticking with Dillard's, how about these (that's a question for everyone, not just Aryelle):

A lot of these come in other colors, too. Think classic lines, and not necessarily black. What color looks best on
you? If you look best in pastels or neutrals or jewel tones - lean towards towards them. They're not looking for a clone, they're looking for someone who will fit in AND knows fashion when it comes to her own coloring and body!
