Alpha Gamma Delta was founded with the intention of becoming a national women's fraternity. We were founded May 30th, 1904.
On June 1, 1905, 12 girls from the University of Wisconsin received word that a charter had been granted them to create Beta Chapter. Gamma Chapter followed in January 1906.
Alpha Gam spanned North America by 1909, and became International by 1919. Pretty amazing considering how limited communication was at the time.
