[QUOTE=HDL66;1926931]I came across this article from the U of Oregon student newspaper dated April 24, 2009:
http://www.dailyemerald.com/2.2358/d...ority-1.189964
Included in the article was this statement:
"The council extended an invitation to Tri Delta to come to campus during fall 2009. The choice had been between Tri Delta and Kappa Alpha Theta.
The council told Theta it could join the University within the next four years if the national representation for Theta decides to do so. [empahsis added] 'Both of these organizations have a history at the University of Oregon,' Greek Leadership Advisor Amy Long said. Tri Delta had a chapter at the University starting in 1910, but closed its doors in 2000 because of low membership numbers, she said. Theta started a chapter in 1909 and closed in 1997."
I have no idea if this is an accurate statement or not?[/QUOTE
It could be accurate. The line states that Theta has the choice to come back in fall of 2013 if it
wants to. I however have yet to get confirmation on this from an official Theta source.
An official Theta source is the only source I trust on such matters. This is because if you look back through the "Where would you like to see Theta colonize" thread there was an issue with Auburn. A PNM was apparently given inaccurate information from her recruitment counselor that Theta would be back on that campus within that year. While Theta did come back and recolonize at Auburn, it was four years later, not within that year. This is why I want to make sure information regarding expansion comes from an official Theta source rather than other sources.
