Apparently 41 of the 110 had not been judges before being confirmed as justices. That's a pretty good precedent.

He'd be barking up the wrong tree. I don't even think he'd be in the right forrest.
I don't get why you're so offended? People can tell she's a lesbian the same way they can tell Clarence Thomas is black.

I'm offended that he's criticizing her for not being attractive. Like others have pointed out, no one criticizes the male appointees for their looks. He hasn't criticized her for being a lesbian, only for being masculine which doesn't make her a lesbian. Neither of those traits would make her any less qualified than her equally unattractive male peers. It's quite insulting to have a woman's qualifications for a positions completely ignored so that her looks can be addressed instead. As for being able to "tell" she's a lesbian, she looks just like half of the moms I know. I might be able to tell if she told me she liked women.

I tried that. I got jumped. Now I'm staying in.
My brain expanded too much, now it looks like a stretched out rubber band, never to again to attain its (shouldn't there there be an apostrophe at the end of it at least, like this: its', as opposed to it's) former elasticity.

And he didn't call her one. He said she was a man or a transexual. He didn't say she was a lesbian. There is a difference.
