Agreed, and not only that...chains are lame. I mean it might be different there, but BWW around here is where 40 yr old dudes who are completely p-whipped go to feel like they're "letting loose." If you must have a restaurant event, make it with someplace local. (This gets you on the good side of the locals too, and that's never a bad thing.)
SBG - I don't think they've actually held this event yet, those are just his ideas.
