I would agree that ultimately you need to meet the girls and see if you all click. You'd probably have to go through a probationary period before they'd vote to make you an active member of that chapter...so no need to hurry into it. You'll have time to make up your mind. Either way USC is a huge school and knowing that they're there and that you can go to meetings will be comforting. USC probably has a site for thier chapters, so maybe you can start emailing the chapter and getting to know them before you get there.
