Yep...the fraternities got it bad...
It was like that with fraternities at my school as well....Most of them became 'official' with the next line; however, according to my friend (who was amongst the non-National HQ recognized brother of his frat), some never did...unless they went through the grad chapter much later on.
I've heard of this 'big' problem with sororities only in the last few years.....it's crazy!!!!! For some unknown reason members think that it's OK...she's still one of 'us' because she went through a 'process'....and these crazy interested women think...if I'm recognized by members of that chapter...I'm a Soror....they don't realize that this is a life long committment and that yeah, you may be recognized on that campus...but you can't register for regionals, boule', cluster or etc.....you can't even get any of our official publications......
Interest....DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!!
