Only you can decide what is right for you.
I will say that if you end up at UT or A&M, decide not to rush freshman year (for whatever reason), and change your mind soph or junior year, you may not have the chance again (because recruitment there tends to favor freshmen).
I've seen it happen where girls go to competitive schools, wait too late, and wish they would've rushed. Just something to think about. The decision is up to you.
