New cast has been announced:

Buzz Aldrin
Shannon Doherty
Niecy Nash
Nicole Scherzinger
Evan Lysacek
Kate Gosselin
Jake Pavelka
IMO, it's a much more interesting cast than in recent seasons. I'm calling Evan Lysacek as an early favorite.

I actually screamed/groaned out loud when I saw Kate's picture pop up on my tv. Talk about signing a trainwreck celeb to help the ratings!! Lordy!
And then, to top it all off, Jake, JAKE! Is it my imagination or is ABC beginning to look desperate?

I totally agree. I am SO sick of watching him (Vienna wtf?!?). DWTS was much better when it had actual "stars" in my opinion. It's sad to see ABC stick in "filler" contestants.

Wow. It looks like a somewhat typical lineup with a couple of random twists. They've got their requisite dancer (Nicole), football player (85), soap star (Aiden), Olympian (Evan), older guy you want to root for but he probably doesn't have a chance (Aldrin), actors trying to get back their 15 minutes (Pam & Shannon), tv show hosts of shows I've never watched (Erin & Niecy), and... Jake? Kate? Really? I mean, I watch The Bachelor and I did watch Jon & Kate, but... interesting.

I thought Brooke Burke was awkward to watch for some reason. They could have gotten a better co-host.
Early favorites for me are Evan, Nicole, and Niecy (for her personality more than anything).
I also think Buzz will make it a couple rounds. He seems to have quite the Twitter following.
