No, I'm not saying that there is no International Sweetheart. I have met several over the years.
I was saying that Joan Kennedy was never an International Sweetheart.

How would the girl in OP's story not know if she had been duped? When she went out of town with the Theta Chi, there was either a dream girl competition or not once they got there. Or is she wondering if the Theta Chi staged a fake competition just to take her out of town? Who does that?

There was definitely a Dream Girl competition going on, but it was a CHAPTER competition -- not regional (as was told to the unsuspecting girl)
33girl, yes, I think he was a very desperate Theta Chi who needed for the brothers to "thinK' he was interested in "women". I think he tried desperately to dispel any notions of being gay.
