What I think about BET

Of course I will (lol) I am without a doubt part of the hip hop generation. I have Technic's in my room, a pair of shell toes @ the foot of my bed, and Krylon in my bookbag. I love all 3 elements (ironic I'm a number 3) and I love hip hop. I see hip hop not as that Puffy Sh!t on BET or MTV but the entire culture. That was my earlier point hip hop is more than that on BET, I feel that is POP culture. Belvie is popular (even though I have some in the freezer) JayZ is popular (trust I got all his albums). Now when KRS One starts poppin bottles I'm done. To all those out there don't believe the hype.

I to have issues with the programing of BET. Where are the educational shows, where is the culture, the arts. Black people have contributed to our socciety From the first black man "Adam". I see nothing wrong with videos and music programing, but since when is wearing close out dated. It sends a very poor message to this generations, and I wonder why we cant have shows that tell the stories of our culture, Tubman, Duboise, King, or stories of succesful black multi millionairs Oprah, Bill Cosby. There apears to be no balance. And I belive Sunday mornings are the worst. In the morning it is gospel videos and preaching, but by high noon its half naked girls and vulgarity. The sad part about this is the bad programing wont stop until it stops making money. I say BOYCOT. Sometimes you just have to vent. Thank you.
