I'm certainly not wanting to speak for ThetaDancer, but it seems odd to me because the GC community is mostly made up of sorority/fraternity actives, alumni, or hopefuls. You don't fall into any of those categories, so posting your story just seems a bit out of place. Depledging before initiation, and then failing to pursue any kind of Greek life after depledging just isn't the typical background for GCers, so we can't help but wonder why you posted... especially when it's obvious that what you've shared happened a long time ago. Anyone is certainly welcome to share their experiences, but those experiences usually include some level of Greek life (except in the cases of PNMs who don't get a bid, but they generally stop posting anyway).
There's nothing wrong with your having posted your story, it's just unusual.
