Kinda off topic, but I didn't have a car in highschool, but the car I have now (yellow 2008 Mini convertible) has a name. Her name is "Ms. Mini".

I got my black 2000 Honda Civic when I was a freshman in high school and, naturally, the only name that I felt appropriate was "Blackie Chan." I usually just call it "Blackie."
I am stumped at finding a name for my silver Honda CR-V, usually referred to as the Sorority Utility Vehicle.

My first and so far only car is a pewter metallic 2005 Ford Focus. His given name is Funky Reuben. His two nicknames are Jaws (because of his color and the rear spoiler) and Harvey Dent (because he spent the first half of 2008 with a huge dent down the passenger's side, whereas the driver's side was in pristine condition).

Actually, I picked the name, because that's about how big the SUV is. (Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a pyramid to park the damn thing on?? )
DH sometimes refers to my car as "the death glider" - but I'm not sure if he's referring to its small size and maneuverability or my Masshole driving skills. Probably the latter . . .

didn't get my first car til i was 23, but I just called it "The Tempo" because it was a Ford Tempo. it was always referred to as "The Tem-POE!" as in "time to take a ride in the Tem-POE!"
Silly, I know. after its passing in 2008 (RIP) i mentally exclaim "Tem-POE!" when i see on the road, especially in that seafoam-teal-type blue green. You know, that color that many cars came in the late 80s/early 90s.

My 2000 new to me Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is named Kermit. Not a lick of green on him, but that's what lilnikki named him.
My first car, 1996 Ford Escort LX was named Jerome after a HS classmate of mine who LOVED the color green.
