In other 10 year old kids news...this one gets tasered.

Police Use Taser on 10-Year-Old Girllink
OZARK, Ark. (Nov. 18 ) -- A police officer in a small Arkansas town used a stun gun on an unruly 10-year-old girl after he said her mother gave him permission to do so. Now the town's mayor is calling for an investigation into whether the Taser use was appropriate.

According to a report by Officer Dustin Bradshaw, obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press, police were called to the Ozark home Nov. 11 because of a domestic disturbance. When he arrived, the girl was curled up on the floor, screaming, the report said.

So they tasered a 10 year old girl because she was throwing a temper tantrum?

What gets me all is, according to the article, when the police arrived the mother was already wanting the girl tasered.

hmm. well i can understand wanting to tase the kid to shut her up (lmao) but i'd have to say that she's unfit as a mother if she could not control her child and had to call the police. and its sad that a police man could not subdue a lil child without using force like that.
ETA: now i can see the link. the girl is gonna face disorderly conduct?! WOW. i mean she's 10...and i'd think that she knows that if the police comes for her its serious and she needs to calm down. but this bothers me, esp if she really has emotional problems.

On her part as a mother and on the officers part. I cannot believe that he didn't use better judgement. I'm hoping someone steps in on the childs behalf and takes a closer look at her home situation that would even prompt this type of behavior....

Shame on the mother for suggesting that and double shame on the officer for actually doing it.
