My <> sister Kayce's mother, Linda has cancer. I don't know what type it is but they did surgery October 26 to remove it and found more. They are going to start super chemo as soon as Linda recovers from surgery. If you could pray for her that would be wonderful. I'll update when I get more on her progress.

I'm asking for healing thoughts and prayers for everyone at Fort Hood (and those who know someone who is stationed/living there) as they move forward after yesterday's tragedy. One of my best friends is currently stationed there (she's okay, checked in with her through text message and Facebook), and I can "hear" the strain in her as she tries to process what happened and return to "normal" after that experience.

I would like to ask for everyone to keep my family and close ones in their thoughts. About three weeks ago, I had swine flu - which wasn't bad in and of itself, merely physically draining. The next week, on Wednesday, I was woken up by a phone call from my BF of three years letting me know his uncle had passed away unexpectedly in his sleep; it devastated him, and it broke my heart because I knew the man and cared for him. The very next day, Thursday, our mutual best friend - as well as BF's room mate - lost his great grandmother due to illness. We all managed to make it through last week without a hitch, but about an hour ago today, I received a phone call from home informing me one of my aunts passed away in her sleep; I can't make it home until tomorrow.
I appreciate your thoughts and prayers, as does everyone involved.

How are you, Sunflowers? You've been in my prayers. I don't know if you've read much of this thread, but I'm in the same boat. Be gentle with yourself, and don't keep your feelings pent up inside. (((((((Sunflower))))))

Hello sisters:
I know I've been MIA - sorry, I started my job and have yet to get internet in the apartment.
Anyway, I am set to cover a high school playoff game this weekend and am a bit nervous. Why, you ask? Because I am a 21-year-old girl covering TEXAS high school football... not many young women are taken seriously when it comes to football and I don't want to screw this up... so I am asking for you to pray for a sister who feels a tad in over her head but knows she can do this!
Second, I was reading back through things I've missed... hugs and Pi love to all of you dealing with losses of loved ones or going through tough times right now. I also noticed the comment on the Fort Hood shootings... my ADPi big sister and her husband are stationed there, so that was a bit scary but they turned out to be okay.
Enough rambling from me... prayers are appreciated and all of you are in my thoughts!
<> Emily

Sisters please keep my husband, his daughter and mother in your prayers. Docs removed 2 polyups on Tue from DH who is a colon cancer survivor. His dad succumbed to it in 2008. Monday his daughter was hospitalized for kidney stones, thanks to her mother's genetics. Stones were blasted yesterday so hopefully they'll pass painlessly. His mom is hospitalized for few issues, most serious of which is blood infection. Thanks sisters!

Sisters please keep my grandfather and my family in your prayers. My grandfather, who is 92, was admitted last night for fluid around the heart and lungs. His sats were down while I was there, but went back up. He did say that he isn't "ready to leave" but I know that he wants to be with my grandmother again.
While none of us want him to go, we know that it is only a matter of time.

Please accept my most sincere sympathy. I know that this is going to be a very tough time for you - be sure to take some time to be good to yourself, and let yourself mourn. I'll keep you & your family in prayer.

My little dog is having surgery today. His groomer found a mass under his collar last week, and it appeared only a month ago, yet is quite large. It will be removed, and he'll also have an ultrasound to see how his bladder is doing. It's a worry every time a little dog is under anesthesia, so I beg you all for prayers that he'll be fine, and nothing bad will be found. I honestly don't know if I could handle losing him so soon after losing my mother.
To keep it interesting, we're supposed to have a terrible winter storm today. I need to be able to pick up my baby!!

An ADPi from APSU in TN passed away on February 2. She would have been only 32 on the 15th of this month, and left behind 3 daughters.
From a mutual friend's facebook, "Shawnna had breast cancer and then it went to her bones and liver. From what I understand the cancer was gone right before Christmas but she went to ICU Saturday with liver failure."

Thank you so very much for letting us know about our sister, WinniBug. Cancer can be so cruel, especially in cases such as Shawnna.

31 sounds so young. My heart goes out to her children and all other family members who survive her.
