I like to wrap scarves or necklaces on the hangar of particular tops or dresses that absolutely define the outfit.

I do this and it is unbelievable at how it saves time. It can be time consuming at first, but once the organizing is finished, it is really easy to keep it up.

I do it, too. My closet is organized by colors, then sleevelengths/heaviness (ie sweater vs. t-shirt). It might take a while when you first do it, but if you just put everything back where it belongs when you do laundry it's so easy. It really does help with outfits because you know where everything is!

I do the same thing. When I first started doing this, some people thought I was OCD and really nuts. It's made my life easier and I know where my stuff is.
Take that critics!

Look through fashion magazines, not for what EXACTLY to wear, but for trends. What colors are new this year, what lengths and shapes are skirts and pants, what textures are hot this year. I bet you can find some new ways to wear some old clothes by updating just a smidge. Then go through your closet like what was mentioned early in this thread. That's terrific advice, by the way.
But don't go TOO fashiony. Some of those magazines are so out there you can't figure out WHAT they're trying to tell you.
