I think people made a bigger deal about this when Facebook was new. Now it tends to be generally accepted that what's on FB is public and can lead to disciplinary action if it's against policy. That's not just with sororities anymore though. This is policy with most companies now.
I also tend to think that if a photo is really that questionable, untag it. Or just don't uplaod it. Every single thing that one does, does NOT need to be in a Facebook photo.
