It is normal for a colonizing group to participate in the first round of recruitment and then not have any additional functions until after formal recruitment. There will probably be an informational event, t hen interviews, then a pref style party and finally their own bid day. I'd certainly go to the informational meeting. Your Greek Affairs office should be able to tell you when and where that event will be.
