I took that to mean someone on Greekchat has taken her under their wing and has given her some advice.

It's possible for a recruitment counselor to tell her that I suppose but I wouldnt think a recruitment counselor would freely give that advice unless Greekchat had been mentioned in conversation somewhere.

I can see a Rho Chi saying it so a PNM wouldn't screw up their chances by saying something stupid. (too late in this case)

I can only see a RC saying that if it was brought up. I dont think "tell your PNM's in your recruitment groups not to post on greekchat.com" is part of the RC training. Which is why I dont think that advice was freely given.

You're right, I asked her about it. I just wanted to see what her opinion on it was since all of you seem to think I'm totally "clueless." She said she didn't think it would affect my chances of anything but that I could get a biased opinion from members of the website. I'm just listening to what she says.

Our next party is Friday. Saturday is pref and Sunday is bid day.

Honestly, no one can tell you whether or not it will affect your chances. For that to happen, sisters (not rho gams) in the houses will have to a) see your posts, b) figure out who you are and c) care. Yes, odds are against these threads really ruining your rush, but why risk it? I think you have definitely acted clueless, but you're making a good decision by not going further with it.

Sorry everyone, after recruitment is over I can fill everyone in on things. PM if you're really curious.

I will say tonight went well, I liked just about everyone!

Have you actually read threads and posts on here? Bias and discouragement? We are known for telling PNMs to give all chapters a chance, to realize they may not make it through, but that it only takes one invite as only one bid can be accepted, and we see value in membership at a variety of schools and chapter sizes.

If you're going to stop posting give a plausible reason, not some crap we all know (and anyone who reads by lurking) isn't true. You can always just stop posting and never tell us why, and move on.

I BEG TO DIFFER! I am a very proud recruitment mama to one very beautiful young lady that I, as a Panhellenic Council (Pi Chi) member convinced to rush in 2007. I am still referred to as such to this day and while she is not my sister, I'm proud to have her as a recruitment baby!

By Recruitment Mama I mean Rho Gamma. It's just a nickname that all the girls going through call them, it's just for fun...
