I was so angry when Ebony's mom sat there in the counselor's office like "How's she going to do these two classes to graduate, she doesn't have time!"

Yes, she messed up, but SHE is YOUR baby. YOU are still responsible for her. You need to make sure that you find a way for her to finish school! No matter what! She made it this far! You need to get a babysitter, you need to get a daycare, whatever you need to do to get her to walk and get a diploma. She can't come this far and fail at every single aspect of life!

That was so wrong. The boyfriend is borderline retarded. She needs to be able to depend on herself at the end of the day. And she can do that. She can still fulfill her dream of joining the Air Force, but only with GOOD support, not half-assed support. Note that Ebony's father was absent from the whole thing. So sad...

On the flipside of this: Alot of moms don't feel that it is THEIR responsbility to arrange sitters and things for their grandkids. They weren't the ones who got pregnant, remember?

It might not be their responsibility to arrange any sitters for their grandkids, but isn't it still their LEGAL responsibility to make sure their child goes to school?? IDK if the rules change when a teen has a baby, but i would think not.
