Well, I don't think anyone knows how big the apartment he would buy/rent is, so it's probably not safe to assume that he's not planning to have the kids at all.
Not only that - NYC isn't that far away from where they are. It's not like he's going to LA. I don't blame him for wanting to get out of PA - as the numerous Philly rush threads have shown, everyone is up in everyone else's business here.

That is a good point. I shouldn't jump to conclusions like that. And I didn't realize that NYC isn't far. Still sad, though!
