Some parents brought their three year old to a midnight showing of the second Blade movie.

When that kid turns into a sociopath, they will be wondering why.

I could have understood this more back in the day when the theater was the only place to see an uncut movie.

But nowadays? Holy crap, chill out, it'll be on video or on demand in 6 (if not fewer) months!! You can see it for a lot less, no one cares if your kids scream, and if they do, you can rewind it and watch that part again.

I think the loss of drive-in theaters is a contributor to this. Lots of parents would get their kids into their jammies then take them to the drive-in. Of course everyone was in their own cars so no one cared. My belief is that these are parents who think the world is a drive-in.

LOL! I guess Ted Bundy's child is too old to be causing trouble in a theatre - but she's probably taking her kid to slasher movies.

I went to see Obsessed and a family with a boy who looked about 4 sat right behind me. During any scary part where the music swelled, he screamed. Just from the previews, it was obvious that it would be too much for a pre-schooler. And I was supposed to see it with a co-worker, but she was having trouble finding a sitter. She said, "If I can't find somebody, I'll just bring the baby." I squashed that IMMEDIATELY. I told her if it was good, I'd go see it a second time when she's free but baby girl stays home.
