Seriously, this info actually helps a lot. I'm going to be a freshmen next year. Any advice on how long we should wait / look into a sorority before we rush / pledge?

Depends on the type of sorority and your school.

If you're talking about Panhellenic sororities, I suggest doing so freshman year. However, depending on where you go to school, waiting until sophomore year is no big deal.

But there ARE some schools with highly competitive recruitments at which it is highly difficult for non-freshmen to get bids
