I was lucky, I had despiration helping me.
Our section was in horrible shape and right after I got there, we had a fall section conference because we hadn't had a sectional conference in several years (which frankly I feel ment that both the RD and the SC were not doing what they should) and I was one of the few alumni interested in helping at that fall section conference.
