I confess that something tells me that you're on to something and that I should appreciate the person that he is & stop letting dead weight try to drag me back to the past.
I confess that although new guy is a great guy, I'm still working on some issues with me & getting past what I had with dead weight.
With that said, I'll just enjoy his friendship for now and be honest so as not to lead him to believe that I'm ready for anything more than friendship right now.
