My DAD just called and recommended this movie to me (actually, he recommended "that movie they made about you"), so I guess I am going to have to go see it. I haven't yet because I was afraid the movie was going to ruin the book, as most movie adaptations do.

You know it will. I would think they'd do Shopaholic Ties the Knot next, but who knows.

I mean besides having the same names for characters, and some of the same situations the movie & book are really different. If you are expecting to read a lot of the same things that were in the movie, then you'll be disappointed.

Oh I mean that you shouldn't give the book a try, you should--it's a great book. But the movie was a combination of 2 books, and just little bits & pieces of both.

I'm used to movies being different than the book, but I just feel that this movie was WAAAAAY different than the book.

I just read Sophie Kinsella's newest book "Twenties Girl" and really liked it. It's quite funny as it's a bit of a twist on her usual books -- it's a ghost story!!
