According to the story in the link, this happened in October and the police have just released the call to the public.

Police on Wednesday released the recording from Oct. 27 in which Suleman says she hadn't seen her 5-year-old son for an hour and repeatedly tells the operator she's going to kill herself.

I don't think she's going crazy... she's already there.
