Not knowing anything about you or your friend, my thoughts tend to gravitate toward the following question: Was your GPA at an acceptable level when you began recruitment? At least on my campus, this tends to be the #1 reason chapters across the board will cut a PNM. There may be opportunities later in the semester to COB but if you do not solve for the reason that you were likely released for (whatever that may be) I anticipate that the chapters will look elsewhere for their PNMs to COB.
My gpa was a 3.381, one of the highest. That could have been what happened with my roomie tho. Hers was barely at the minimum for my campus. I have learned why I was cut from one and I've been encouraged to make friends with some of the sisters at the one I'm interested in and rerush in the fall when they know me better.

As was said to you in your other thread, you don't really know why you were cut from that one chapter. But again, try to rush if you truly want to be Greek.
