I know that in some pharmacies in Mexico (which is not too far from the LA area) you can get a lot of stuff without a prescription...

You can buy it from a friend who was prescribed it. I read somewhere that Clomid is one of the most popular non-painkillers on the black market. Like I said before, some insurers cover it, others don't; it's easy to see how people who want a kid and who can't afford in vitro would take this route.
There are also sites where people sell their unused fertility meds (either they got pregnant or their doctor has changed their medication protocol and they want to recoup some of their costs back). Or you can post an ad looking for certain meds. Some have a prescription for it but if you don't have insurance (or your insurance is too damn stingy to cover it...don't get me started) it can cost a hell of a lot more through a pharmacy and buying someone's left over meds can save a lot of money. So they go by what their prescription says and then get what they need off the internet.

The PCOS has to be a documented case first, I know b/c I have it.
I have never heard of that. I have PCOS and was put on Metformin.

As a rule, Clomid will not produce that many eggs. I am wondering if she used injectables without a doctor's supervision. IUI or timed sex with injectables have more of a chance of multiples

Obviously she does not have fertility problems. Most RE's (reproductive endocrinolgists) would not have touched her with a 10 foot pole

Different doctors offer the process of the ovary freezing process (I misquoted myself when I said egg). It just depends on the insurance being willing to pay or if the person/couple wants to independently pay.
Yeah, I was put on Metformin too but it made me sick, so I went back to Glucophage. Don't take anything now.
