Its a self respect issue. Those who have no respect for themselves will be willing to undergo the abuse, others, the strong ones will go somewhere else. Not because they are "weak," but because they actually respect themselves.
This is why those who are not heavy-hazers own our campus' IFC and always destroy everyone in greeksing and carnival.
